Golf Tremblant – The Secret of the Laurentians

Situated within the Laurentian peaks, Mont Tremblant is well known as an exceptional ski destination. However, when spring arrives and the days become longer, the resort presents a golf experience like no other. Mont Tremblant includes four outstanding golf courses that will satisfy even the pickiest golfers. Read more to find out about Tremblant golf courses and the best times for you to come during the summer.

Le Diable Golf Course

Daunting red-sand bunkers, twisting valleys and long, narrow fairways are all part of the devilish route on Le Diable Golf Course. This unpredictable par 71, 18-hole course was designed by Architects Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry and is the ultimate assessment of golf aptitude and ability. Ranked #1 public golf course in Quebec, Le Diable is often called the “devil’s challenge” as it will keep even professional golfers on their toes. Le Diable is open from early May until late October.

Le Géant Golf Course

Surrounded by a sight of impeccable beauty, Le Géant Golf Course offers an exceptionally aesthetic golf experience. With tiers of terrain etched right into the mountain side and breath-taking views of the magnificent Laurentian landscape, this par 72, 18-hole course will have you fighting to maintain concentration on the game. The course is open from mid May until mid October. Stated the best golf resort in Canada by ScoreGolf magazine (2007), Le Géant provides challenge and fun in one incredibly gorgeous course.

La Belle & La Bête

Designed by Graham Cooke, La Belle and La Bête are two enchanting golf courses with fairytale inspiration. As its name implies (meaning beautiful in English), La Belle is a genuine beauty with tree-bordered fairways, lavish greens and heart-stopping vistas. La Bête, however, is favoured among the two courses with its award winning layout of alpine peaks, waterways and rich topography. Although La Bête and La Belle are both par 72, 18-hole championship courses, La Belle offers a laid back playing style while La Bête requires technique and tactical thinking.

When to Go & Where to Stay!

Since Mont Tremblant’s golf courses are open primarily during the spring and summer; the weather should not be a hindrance in deciding when to stay. At the same time, it is also up to personal schedules and availability when planning the ideal time to visit. For those seeking cheaper rates, the Early Season (May) and the End Season (late September into October) are the best times to go. Booking far in advance of when you wish to play may also present further discount prospects.

For those in search of quick and easy access to the golf courses, there are a number of vacation rental complexes that offer simple and speedy accessibility. Les Manoirs and Tremblant Les Eaux are the best spots for fans of Le Géant. Rabaska and Borealis are two developments that are minutes away from Le Diable. Finally, for those looking to practice their swing on La Belle or La Bête; Rabaska and L’Aiglon de Tremblant are the best choices.
