Recently I went to Gran Canaria and I have written about my holiday at Gran Canaria Holidays Page. Gran Canaria is one of the largest islands in the Canaries, it has beautiful scenery, huge mountains, green valleys, fresh woods and great desert. Gran Canaria isn't wet, it's hot, and full of sunshine, particularly the island's southern half, that offers several destinations that are included a lot of times in Gran Canaria package holidays. The resort selection appeals to both youth and the aged and flights are offered from the majority of regional airports in the entire United Kingdom.
Las Palmas is the capital and one of the largest cities in Spain, tours with a knowledgeable guide are available that allow you to get on and off as you see fit. Gran Canaria tourism offers holiday packages across the year but the months of August and September are hot and humid which might create problems for the visiting tourists. But since a number of festivals are held at various times during the year, any time you choose to visit will be a good time.
