Historic Hotels in the UKThroughout the UK, there are obviously many hotels. Historic hotels however are a little harder to come by. Historic hotels are graded listed buildings. Listing a building is done so to ensure the architectural or historical standing is protected and considered. It is English Heritage who determines whether a building should be listed - recommending buildings for inclusion on statutory lists of buildings of 'special architectural or historic interest' compiled by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
