Situated on the south-west coast of Cyprus, Paphos is a city that is drenched in history, so much that UNESCO has included the whole city in its list of cultural and national treasures of the world’s heritage. The fine mosaics and the remains of the Roman Governor’s palace can be found in Paphos and are amongst the most visited tourist attractions.

The meze consists of several local dishes and is similar to the Spanish Tapas and normally consists of around 20 to 30 different dishes (meat, fish, vegetables and dips). The meze is a good way to experience some true Cypriot culture. There are a wide range of hotels on offer to suit your budget and requirements. Some hotels are ideally placed for tourists to be able to get to the sights and as Paphos is only a small city (population is only 50,000) you will not have to far to travel.
