Consisting with over 500 miles of well maintained, signposted footpaths and bridleways which includes four coastal trails as well as eight long distance walks you will always have something left to do for your next visit. The distance of the walks vary depending on ability from the half mile walks for the novices and walks that go further than 15 miles.
Some of the more popular walks are the ‘Ghost Walk’ which is a half mile walk around the old village and parks of Shanklin and informs you of stories that include ghosts, smugglers and buried treasure. Another favorite is the ‘Dinosaur Walk’ which is a 1.5 mile walk and includes a trip to local beaches on the quest for dinosaur footprints and fossilised forests.
