Keeping The Kids Occupied In San Diego

Any holiday in any location in the world can be a challenge if you have a young family. Making sure the kids are entertained can be a tricky process.

But if you are thinking of visiting San Diego you will be glad to know there are plenty of places you can take the kids to that they will love.

For example Boomers has plenty of activities to tire out the kids. No matter what they like to do they’ll certainly find something to enjoy here. The Bumper Boats are always popular; they are a water based version of the more traditional bumper cars. But since they have water cannons included in the design you should be prepared to get wet!

If you have younger children the county fair attraction at Boomers will be the place to go. Complete with all the rides you would expect to find for the little ones at a fair, including the tea cups, there is plenty to keep them occupied.

Elsewhere in San Diego you will find Nickel City. This is so called because you will need plenty of nickels to operate the wide variety of games the centre has on site. There are more than a hundred in all, and with a nickel being worth five cents, you can see that it’s possible to enjoy a full day here without spending a huge amount of money in the process.

If you would prefer something a bit more physical that the whole family would enjoy, why not try the Ultrazone Laser Adventure?

If you are unfamiliar with this, it is a laser game where different teams use laser weapons to try and capture the base of their opponents. Although each game only lasts around a quarter of an hour, you will find that is plenty of time to wear everyone out! You should find you have enough energy to play more than one round though – it can be very addictive.

Of course when you are in a foreign city you want to make the most of going out and about and seeing all the outdoor locations that are worth looking at. One of these is SeaWorld – and it never fails to captivate kids of all ages.

This has much more than you might be expecting, because there are rides, demonstrations and plenty of exhibits to pack into a funll filled day out. Killer whales and dolphins show you what they can do in the water, and the Forbidden Reef reveals just some of the more unlikely inhabitants of the sea.

San Diego hotels are plentiful enough to give you lots of choices on where to stay for your holiday. And you can rest assured that the kids will sleep well every night once they’ve burnt off some energy taking part in the activities listed here.
