Kenya Safari Spa Resorts Now a New Winner Pack

Kenya safaris are fast becoming second to the new and emerging tropical spa resorts concept just un parked in the Kenya’s tourism portfolio. Safari spa lodges and resorts are currently in all locations, wildlife game reserves, beach, islands and cultural sites.  Targeting guests who need to blend and enjoy something new in a country where natural beauty and serene environment is all that is there to offer.

Therapist have been imported to train the locals on Thai, Indian and other exotic spa models and that blend with the local herds and ideas have emerged to be second to none.

Checkie Wood, of Wild fitness in Watamu beach north of Mombasa town, has started a new venture called "Inner Safaris" which is a ten days yoga safari holiday in wild Laikipia area. They are wild, elemental, camping with wildlife, floating in rivers, walking with camels, yoga and meditation twice a day. Checkie is an experienced teacher. Pilates and dance teacher usually join in the program.

Kenya has abundance of exotic scents and herbs still very much used by the natives and well reputed healing properties, East Africa provides a the ultimate sensory load for natural beauty as well as a complete park for relaxation and rejuvenation. The mad bath at ‘shimoni’ area at the Kenyan coast and Lake Bogoria spa on the rift valley are both slowly reclaiming international popularity they very well deserves.

The finest of cosmo spa resort is located in Nairobi city, Kenya’s capital, The ‘Maisha’ spa at the Nairobi Serena hotel offers spa users state of art technology raging from yoga studios to a selective wide range of exotic elemis spa therapy menu.

They promise you timelessness as you revitalize your spirit at the ‘Tulia’ spa located at the whitesands beach resort north of Mombasa town. I would say this modern spa resort has left nothing to chance in terms of investing what they term as Ayurveda treatments. A the The Uzuri spa at the leopard beach resort take the Africa wood massage I bet it’s the best off the menu.

The Shanti holistic resort located at along Diani beach south of Mombasa is wholly dedicated to Yoga and spa treatment, this Asian themed property is owned and ran by an Asian family and as you walk in you will notice you are not in a setting like any other, from the food they serve to the mandatory daily programs you will leave a different person due to the intense cleansing they dedicate to.

Schools, colleges and higher learning institutions in Kenya have slow started training on this from of therapy and its bound to be an explosion in the coming years for demand in this newly discovered line of treatment, so rest assured there will be a whole new attraction which is not only favorable to tourism but the locals are enjoying this full throttle like I do.

Popular ideal units in Kenya that harbor this concept include, Kilili baharini resort in Malindi beach, Diani grand sea resort on the south of Kenya’s magnificent coast line Serena beach resort, Lake Bogoria safari lodge, Blue bay beach resort in Zanzibar island, Breezes beach club, Voi wilderness safari lodge and spa and Loisaba Wilderness safari lodge is a must go go due to the breath taking location and views.

The Lion in the Sun was the famous Malindi dwelling of Flavio Briatore, where he was usual to accommodate friends, sport champions and known western personalities, now he has preferred to turn it into an exclusive Relais of relaxing and well-being.  The resort is made up of 16 large and luxurious suites distributed in 4 splendid villas dipped in a beautiful tropical garden overlooking the sea, interrupted with four swimming pools, where the hosts can enjoy the principle privacy and more than 60 staff in order to satisfy every wishes and personal desires.  The rooms are furnished in various traditional styles and each with its own personality in order to transmit emotions and feelings.

In collaboration with Henri Chenot he has created a SPA where the hosts can daily have the pleasure to receive aesthetic or thalassic therapy treatments.  The Thala SPA modern scientific acquaintances of the western medicine with the millenarian’s traditions of the Chinese medicine based on the energetic channels and the equilibriums of man conceived like unit between body, psyche and emotional sphere. The bad habits of life, wrong feeding, stress, generate one lack of equilibrium between mind, unconscious and physical body. And it is just on this equilibrium that the philosophy of Lion in the Sun Resort is based.  They have imported modern equipments for thalassotherapy and selected highly specialized staff to offer very efficacious and unforgettable treatments plunge into an oasis of peace near the Indian Ocean and to the borders of the infinite African extensions.

To the program of Thala SPA upon request, they associate the bio-light menu. Draft of a light but appetizing diet made up of local organic products, rich of vitamins and minerals that help a correct process of cellular regeneration only found at the Shanti holistic place at the south coast.

There is no better way to enjoy the African beauty and the splendor Kenya has to offer ether than to indulge ‘a little’ after that awesome wild safari experience. So don’t forget to ask your local therapist whether you could purchase a bottle or two of that wonder African therapy herb to try it elsewhere or everywhere.

So the world is welcome for a real treat.
