Each of the rooms is individually furnished and has high wooden ceilings, rich curtains on the windows and mosquito nets on the four poster beds. The bright en-suite bathrooms all have a shower over the bath. All the main areas of the Macushla House are ornately furnished - bright colours and patterns abound.

The small restaurant has high backed; wrought iron chairs and serves excellent food. My guess is that he was not sure of the matter. It is said that the Britons gave it out to the Germans when defining the territories. This is partly confirmed by the fact that the borderline from Lake Victoria to the Coast is straight and only broken by a curve around Kilimanjaro
