Legend has it if you kiss your love on the bridge, that the two of you will be locked in each other’s hearts forever. Over the years couples have hung locks, engraved with their names, on the bridge as a symbol of their love. It’s no wonder that on Valentine’s Day the bridge is a very popular spot.
Perhaps it's the need to snuggle close for warmth during stroll during the cooler months that keeps the bridge popluar with lovers.
