Poole is situated in the breathtaking county of Dorset and is the world’s second biggest natural harbor. The beaches here are believed to be some of the finest in the country and if you would like to own a property in the close by Sandbanks which overlooks Poole harbour, then it will cost you more than anywhere else in the UK. There is a good selection of restaurants in Poole, many of which are situated around the Quay and the majority are of a very good standard. So you have the satisfaction of enjoying a meal while experiencing the breathtaking views. Dorset has a lot of attractions and all the finest ones are a maximum half an hour’s journey from Poole. Opposite Poole Quay, is Brownsea Island which is an English Heritage Wildlife Preserve that offers numerous fair priced cruises around the islands that enclose Poole Harbour. If you have a fair amount of money to use then you may want to look at chartering a boat and investigating the islands yourself. It is truly a delightful experience to journey around all the sites in your own time and at your own pace. Bournemouth and Christchurch are only a stone’s throw away from Poole and they have all the most important attractions you would expect from bigger towns and have more activities than anywhere else on the southern coast. There are a number of theaters dotted around including the Lighthouse in Poole and the BIC Theater in Bournemouth which pulls in some of the leading names in show business as well as many concerts. Poole also boasts the biggest leisure complex in the country which is called Tower Park. This massive complex houses a huge selection of services and entertainment including Bowling, Bingo, Cinemas, Arcades and numerous restaurants to name but a few. If that does not suffice, there is Poole Stadium which houses one of the top UK Speedway teams, and runs other events such as Greyhound Racing.
