Protect Your Budget, Look for Cheap Hotels in Marbella

Marbella is a popular destination for many, a coastline city which can satisfy an array of holiday makers' needs. Viewed as southern Spain's version of St Tropez due its vibrant nightlife and selection of world class beaches, it is a popular destination for the rich, famous and people willing to pay a little more for a taste of the high life. Marbella also caters the needs of the more cultured, with its traditional markets, art galleries and restaurants all found down the narrow back streets. This very diverse town is now considered the heart of the 'Costa del sol' region; one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations.

The coastline city stretches for just over 26 kilometres, every inch having its own spectacular view over the Mediterranean Sea. The coastline offers a selection of activities during the day with its number of Restaurants offering the very best traditional dishes using only the freshest fish. The day time also offers globally renowned shopping centres with the ultimate designer boutiques. Not forgetting that the sunshine town provides the very best conditions for tennis, sailing and most importantly golf attracting many celebrities including Sean Connery.  The city explodes at night with its top class night clubs, piano clubs, alfresco bars and newly built casino which keep the tourists partying until dawn.

Behind all the culture and glamour, lies a town with an interesting political history. The town has a record of corruption within the mayoral system which started with an ex football club owner turned political party leader being jailed for corruption only for his predecessors to follow due to the same reasons, one being a football player from the same club. In 2006 the Spanish government took charge and suspended the council, the 1st time this level of action had been taken by the Spanish democracy. It has provided a retreat for many high profile criminals including members of the Russian mafia and a then anonymous Osama bin Laden. This truly is an interesting destination in which you would find yourself intrigued and wanting to discover more.

Due to the destination's popularity, hotels will need to be booked well ahead to make the most of the budget you have. Most hotels aren't too expensive; you will find  cheap hotels in Marbella. Cheap hotels are easily found depending on the area in which you wish to travel to.
