Holiday home rentals is now a popular family holiday with many tourists renting holiday homes in Romania. Romania is rapidly developing into an up and coming travel destination.

Romania is situated in the southeastern part of Central Europe and shares borders with Hungary to the northwest, Yugoslavia to the southwest, Bulgaria to the south, the Black Sea and Ukraine to the southeast and to the north and the Republic of Moldova to the east.

The capital city of Romania is Bucharest and many people now rent self catering holiday apartments in this vibrant city. They use this self catering holiday accommodation as a base to explore Bucharest and to sample the local food and culture.

Romania is popular with families renting holiday homes direct from their owners. It is a country with a warm climate and has miles of clean unspoilt sandy beaches. In recent years self catering holiday cottages and villas with swimming pools have been built along the coast and are available to rent as holiday homes.

The Black Sea Coast is a beautiful area of Romania and has ancient monuments, vineyards and modern resorts with a good selection of holiday villas and self catering apartments available to rent. It is now popular with summer sun lovers and families looking for a relaxing beach holiday in self catering accommodation.

Mangalia and Mamaia are popular beach resorts and offer a good selection of water sports, good night life and a good selection of bars and restaurants. It is possible to rent self catering apartments in these resorts. The Black Sea coast has long been known for cures of arthritic and rheumatic disorders. Many tourists now go on vacation there to receive treatments in many of the spas staying in holiday cottages.

Many families go on vacation to Romania and stay in holiday farmhouses in the countryside. They are then able to explore many of Romania's numerous castles and medieval heritage. Many of these castles and fortresses are unique as they feature architectural elements and styles that reflect local traditions.

Lovers of the outdoors and hiking holidays are able to rent holiday cottages in the Danube Delta. When they stay in their holiday rental homes they are able to view the wild life in the area. The Danube Delta is home to more than 300 migratory and permanent bird species. Fishermen also come to Romania on fishing holidays as the Danube Delta is home to many kinds of fish. This wetlands preserve covers more than 1,678,000 acres.

Lovers of architecture may come to holiday in Romania and stay in a holiday rental home in Brasov, Sibiu or Sighisoara. These towns are regarded as some of Europe's best-preserved medieval towns. Tourists can explore many of the unique architectural treasures and small ancient houses that are common in this area.

It is now easy to understand why Romania is developing into such a popular tourist destination. There are many new holiday villas and cottages now available to rent direct from their owners. Most of the larger cities in Romania now offer self catering apartments and the coastal regions are home to some beautiful holiday villas.
