John P. runs www.rentaflatinrio.com where tourists can find the best Rio de Janeiro apartments for a more than pleasant stay.
Without any doubt, Rio de Janeiro is one of the most fascinating places on the planet and that is why millions and millions of tourists visit it each and every year. But what makes it so attracting to tourists? First of all, the accommodations are very good here as tourists have endless possibilities for their budget (low, medium, high, it doesn’t matter). Rio apartments are for all budgets so everyone will surely find a place to stay. But what else makes it so attractive? This article will briefly present some of the most important spots in Rio de Janeiro.
• Botanical Garden – also known as Jardim Botanico, has more than 7000 species of plants which grow on 140 hectares. Here tourists can observe the most well-known symbol of the park - The Royal Palms. These trees were originally reserved for the royal family only. All of the palms are originated from a single tree, the Palma Mater (that was tragically destroyed by a lightning a few years ago);
• Christ Statue – is located at the top of the Corcovado Hill and is known as the most popular Brazil image throughout the entire world. The statue measures 100 meters high, weighs 1000 tons and it is covered in a mosaic of soapstone;
• The Center Of Rio – Confeitaria Colombo: thought as the most beautiful café in Brazil was built in 1894 and was later on refurbished with rosewood and Italian marble. Church Igreja Sao Bento: the construction of the church started back in the 17th century and it is affluently decorated with rosewood and gold leaf, a truly beautiful church. Church Nossa Senhora da Cadelaria: the paintings inside tell the legend of a castaway. Catedral de Sao Sebastiao: the cathedral was finished in 1976 and is based on the shapes of a Mexican pyramid. This huge building offers room for about 20,000 people; Staying in one of the apartments in Rio de Janeiro located in the center is expensive but offers full access to the nearby attractions.
• Niteroi – here the bars and discos offer an entire new atmosphere in comparison with the rest of Rio de Janeiro. Besides this, the views in the evening from here on Niteroi Bridge, Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer and Rio downtown are spectacular. The well-known architect by the name of Oscar Niemeyer designed the Museo do Arte Contemporanes which is also in the nearby vicinity;
• Urca - is a rather small town district located at the foot of Sugarloaf and one of the most desired living areas in all Rio de Janeiro. It offers a breathtaking view of the Bay of Botafogo, Flamengo Parc and the 10 miles long Niteroi Bridge. The shallow water of Praia Vermelha turned Urca into an ideal location for swimming enthusiasts. The Rio-Sul Shopping Center is a good place if you want to empty your pockets.
All things considered, Rio de Janerio has what it takes for an ideal vacation. Perfect accommodations in one of the Rio apartments, great sightseeing opportunities, beaches, bars, nightlife and the list could go on forever.
