Gillian Norman, studying cultural heritage of Czech Republic, especially Prague and it’s new tourism growing trend and a lot of visitors looking hotels in Prague with any budget limit.
The Czech Republic is located in the very heart of Europe. Visitors can enjoy its historical monuments, castles, chateaux and beautiful and diverse nature. Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic is our most valuable historical city reserve. In 1992 the historical core of the city covering 866 hectares was listed in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Register.
While attractions across much of the Czech Republic are closed or keep limited hours outside the summer season, Prague caters for visitors all year round. Periods when the tourist crush is especially oppressive include the Easter and Christmas/New Year holidays, as well as May and June. Many Czechs go on holiday in July and August, during which time the supply of bottom-end accommodation actually increases, as student hostels are opened to visitors. If you can put up with the cold and the periodic smog alerts during weather inversions, hotel space is plentiful in winter (outside Christmas/New Year), and Prague is gorgeous under a mantle of snow.
Since The Velvet Revolution of 1989 Prague has become more visited. There are plenty of Prague hotels, pensions, hostels and private accommodation available. Number of stars does not usually correspond with international regulations because the owners class their businesses by themselves. Accommodation in a four stars Prague hotel can be, therefore, cheaper than living in a three stars hotel.
Thanks favorable value is sometimes better to find hotels in Prague further away from the centre because in comparison to other world metropolises Prague is quite small and its public transport is effective so you do not have to worry that you will spend most of your time on trams and buses.
If you plan going to Prague in the high season (April to October), around Christmas and New Year as well as for a weekend or at the time of public holiday, you should book your Prague hotel ahead, preferably by at least a few weeks.
Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is a tourists’ paradise offering all a tourist could hope for. From secret corners and romantic places overlooking the historically valuable city centre, which is protected by UNESCO, to opportunities of wild parties until early hours, Prague has it all. You can satisfy your curiosity in historical places, museums and galleries, every day you can choose from an array of music events, ranging from classical music to the latest pop music.
Why is Prague so popular? There’s something magic about that city. We don’t know if it is Franz Kafka who’s attracting many Jewish to see Old Synagogue. We don’t know if it is a view from famous café Slavia over river and castle where former president used to go. We don’t know if it is inexpensive sort break offered in some travel agents shop. We don’t know if it is a desire to see post communist city witch has been barred from visitor for many decades. We don’t know if it is strolling over Charles Bride at dawn. Maybe this Prague guide ... We don’t know … but what we know, you will fall in love with Prague.
