Tarkarli beach is located at the convergence of the river Karli and the Arabian Sea. It is a narrow stretch of beach with pristine waters. It is located about, 546 kms away from Mumbai, towards 6 kms south of Malvan on the west coast of India. This is a famous beach and it has gained importance because of its clear and transparent seas. Here on a fairly sunny day you can even see the sea-bed up to a depth of 20 feet. This beach is famous by the name of ‘Queen Beach' of Sindhudurg.

We can reach to Tarkarli by road in many ways as it is 546 kms from Mumbai, 160 kms from Kolhapur and from Malvan, it is 8 kms. From Malvan, you can also go to Tarkarli by Rickshaws.
Important place which is located in the nearby of Tarkarli beach is Sindhudurg Fort, it is one of the famous and important sea fort. It was built in the 17th century and it is just 8 kms from this beach. Some other places are Padmagad fort, Devbag, Bhagwati temple, Jay Ganesh Temple, Rameshwar Temple, Amboli Hill Station etc.
