Rambla dels Estudis is the second section of the avenue, also known as the section of the birds. The name of the section comes from the 16th century University that had the name ‘'Estudis''. This area also hosts the Gothic Quarter, one of the most beautiful you have ever seen and the El Raval, the famous market which is the largest one in the entire country.

Rambla de San Josep is the section renowned in Barcelona for being the place where you can find the most beautiful flowers. It is also the section where you can find the street artists that entertain the tourists and starting with the 20th century, the human statues have brought a plus of uniqueness for this section. The fourth section is the Ramblas dels Caputxins, a section famous for hosting the Teatre Del Liceu opera house, the place where many of the famous opera singers of the world started their careers; this is also the section where you will find the Pla de la Boqueria, the famous place of executions a few centuries ago.

Today the Pla is a meat market and it is famous for being paved by the great Joan Miro. Rambla Santa Monica is the last section of the avenue and the place where you can get your comic portrait done by one of the many pavement artists.  You will find Christopher Columbus' statue here and the Barceloneta and also a large number of restaurants, terraces and bars.
