Weather Tremblant – Your Climate Guide to the Laurentians

Still deciding what to pack for your Mont Tremblant vacation? Situated in the Northern part of the Laurentians, Tremblant weather varies tremendously depending on the time of year. While in the winter, temperatures can plunge as low as -30?C; it can warm up past 30?C in the summer. Use this article as a guide on what kind of weather you can expect in Mont Tremblant and how you can prepare!

Mont Tremblant Temperatures

Mont Tremblant experiences pleasant summers, with warm days and cool nights. There are sections of the Laurentians that can encounter temperatures that exceed 86F/30?C. However, as you journey further north, temperatures tend to become cooler. During the winter, temperatures can plummet to lower than -22F/-30?C, but usually remain fairly moderate. As in the summer, when you travel further north temperatures are cooler due to arctic air. Temperatures generally begin to increase in the middle of March and stay above freezing level until November. After that, it stays below freezing until mid April of the following year.

Mont Tremblant Precipitation

As Mont Tremblant is in the northern region of the Laurentians, the resort receives heaps of snow in the winter time. The mountain experiences an average annual snowfall of 382cm/ 150 inches. It is no surprise that Tremblant always has a consistent ski season; the amount of snowfall is incredible. The resort also has a number of snowmaking facilities that contribute more powder to the mountain terrain. For guests who plan to travel to Tremblant during the summer, they can expect an average of 120mm of rain each month.

Best Times to Ski

While when to visit Tremblant is entirely up to personal preference and availability, if you’re looking for pristine powder the best times to visit would be during December and January as the mountain averages 243cm of sparkling snow. For those who enjoy the sunshine and skiing with greater visibility, the best times to vacation would be in late March to April when temperatures ascend above 0?C.

Best Summer Dates to Spend in Tremblant

Again, the best time to go is dependent on your own individual preference. If you’re seeking lots of sun and warmth, July and August are ideal as they receive the highest temperatures in Mont Tremblant. If you’re not a fan of the hot weather, late August and September would be an ideal time to visit as temperatures become cooler. Visitors in the summer also receive an extra perk, as nightly rates on vacation rentals are much lower than during the busy winter season.
