Whistler Village Information

A Whistler vacation is incomplete without a visit to Whistler Village, the centre of all social and retail activity. With a large selection of shops, restaurants, and cafes, as well as gondola access to the mountain’s award-winning slopes; the village is a must-see Whistler attraction. Whistler Village Location

Whistler Village is located right in the heart of Whistler and begins at the base of Whistler mountain. As the social centre of the resort, the village offers everything you need to ensure a comfortable and pleasant vacation. In fact, with a variety of restaurants, shops, accommodations and other services; you will find little need to venture outside of the village area. If you do however leave the village, all other areas of Whistler are just 10 minutes away via bus or car.

As a pedestrianized village, everything in Whistler Village is within a short walking distance. The pedestrian area extends from the base of Whistler Mountain to Village Gate Boulevard and the taxi/bus loop. Whistler Village North is an extension of the main village and includes some of the shops and restaurants within the pedestrian area as well as vacation rentals and hotels that are just outside of the pedestrian region.

Whistler Village Shops, Restaurants & Other Services

The village is constantly full of life with tons of things to see and do. Browse through retail and specialty gift shops, relax at a café or gather with friends at one of the village’s exciting après venues. With two gondolas – one going to Whistler and one to Blackcomb Mountain – you can hit the slopes in no time!

The dining scene in village is sure to please any palate. Whether you’re seeking an evening of fine dining or a quick and easy hunger fix, Whistler Village has something to satisfy any taste or budget.

Other than shops and restaurants, the village has a number of other services available including a library, health and wellness spas, fitness facilities, post office, medical clinic, dental clinic, banks and two grocery stores.

Whistler Village Accommodations

Staying in the village offers tons of perks. Not only are you within walking distance of ski lifts, shops, restaurants and other services but the village is also the centre of all social life in Whistler. The main village consists of primarily hotels and a small amount of vacation rental units, while Village North features a greater number of vacation rental units including condos and town homes.

From private hot tubs, heated mountain-side pools and fitness facilities; the village offers accommodations to match any personal style, taste and preference.
