The many exotic and wildlife destinations in India have always attracted tourists from near and far. The diversity in climate offers a rich flora and fauna which in turn help in the existence of a wide variety of wildlife here in India. Of the many tours that exist, the wildlife tours are the most sort after one. A trip to the popular wildlife sanctuaries is meant for the adventure lovers.

There are many sanctuaries which you can explore on the wildlife tours to India and all these sanctuaries have something interesting to offer.

Ranthambore National Park :

The Vindhyan hill range and the Ranthambore fort in it's background provide a picturesque sight of the Ranthambore sanctuary. Known for the tigers, the Ranthambore wildlife sanctuary is one place where you will definitely be able to spot one in the wilderness.

Corbett National Park:

India's first national park set in 1936 is located in the foothills of the western Himalayas. This is a sanctuary known for the tigers. It was here that Project Tiger was started to save this beautiful animal. But tiger is not the only animal to be found here. You can see the leopards, Himalayan palm civet, Indian grey mongoose, porcupine, sloth bear, jungle cat and lots more.

Kaziranga National Park:

Situated on the banks of Brahamputra in Assam, the Kaziranga national park is the home of the most endangered specie-the one horned rhino. In 1940 it was declared a wildlife sanctuary. Here you can also spot deers, otters, tigers, leopards, elephants, barasingha, rock python and many more wildlife creatures.

Sundarban National Park:

The world's largest delta formed by the Brahmaputra and the Ganga, the Sundarban national park is the residential place of the Royal Bengal Tiger. The majestic animal walks around his home in complete control of his surroundings and without any fear. But its not just the tiger that is spotted here. You can catch a glimpse of crocodiles, estuarine, turtle, the dolphins, Indian fox, Indian civet, spotted deer, wild pig t name a few.

Sariska National Park:

Situated near the Aravalis , the Sariska national Park is a beaituful wildlife sanctuary of the region. Here you can enjoy the sight of the crocodile soaking the sun on the banks of the Siliserh Lake. Tigers, leopard, chital are some other animals that can be spotted here. The list also includes hyena, jackal, panther, wild boar, Indian bison and procupine.

Periyar National Park:

A national park under Project Tiger, Periyar National Park is a famous tiger reserve in Kerala. Not just the majestic Tiger but you can also spot leopards, barking deer, wild boar, sloth bear, Nilgiri Tahrs and mosue deer to name a few. The national park boasts of 260 species of birds like ibises, flycatchers, orioles, thrushes, blue-winged parakeets and cormorants; part of the list.

All these wildlife sanctuaries in India can be enjoyed on a safari through the national parks. The wildlife tours to India are the perfect way to explore the wild side of the country. The variety offered in these national parks will make the trip even more interesting. India offers unforgettable sights on the Wild life journey.
