While it’s true that we all have Candida in us and that a little bit is normal and healthy for normal body function, you probably also know that an overgrowth of this yeast in our bodies can lead to infection and complications. This is because the Candida produces a waste that is toxic to the body and in large amounts, it causes great complications. What you may not know is that there are certain toxins in our environment that can make your problem with Candida even worse.

What are these toxins and what can you do to try to prevent them from contributing to poor healthy from Candida overgrowth? Here are some things and places that have Candida causing toxins that you should try to avoid as much as possible:

Beauty parlors and nail salons- The chemicals put off in these places to do nails, hair coloring and hair perms, etc is very harmful.

Avoid foam rubber beds, couches, futons, etc- the foam produces a toxic gas that is best avoided.

Don’t buy a new car. – The “new car smell” is actually toxic fumes from the brand new leather upholstery, gas fumes, etc. Buy one someone else has already broken in.

Furniture refinishing products have toxins as well. Furniture stains and paint are highly toxic, especially when still fresh so this applies to new furniture as well.

Avoid contact with pesticides- “Roach hotels” and bait is ok but anything that is sprayed is a bad thing. Even if you leave while it is being done, the toxins will remain in your home.

Avoid dry cleaning- Or do so very infrequently if you must. The dry cleaning process has chemicals that can be toxic as well, especially the more you come into contact with them.

Try to avoid cigarette smoke, smoking sections and smoke-filled areas in public as much as possible.

Avoid eating fish more than 2 times a week (cod liver oil is okay).

Try to avoid eating foods and drinking sodas from a can.

Be sure to never bite your nails. Your fingernails are some of the dirtiest parts of the body and contain many toxins that will make you sick.

These things alone do not cause intestinal Candida but they can contribute to it and make it worse. If you want to be as healthy as possible and avoid Candida overgrowth whenever you can, try to avoid these things as much as you can.
