Bulimia Nervosa Information

I would like to start off by explaining what Bulimia Nervosa actually is. It is in fact an eating disorder which is rather more common the other types.

People who suffer from it will generally go on a binge and eat a lot of food in a brief time span. Afterwards they will feel guilty and they will want to get rid of all the food by vomiting for example or perhaps doing a lot of exercise.

What you will also often find is that these people will take certain type of medication which will allow them to get rid of the food.

The reason why a person normally goes on a food binge is because for some reason it given them a good sensation.

The problem is however that shortly afterwards they will have negative emoting which are often linked with being scared of becoming more heavy which is why they will try to find a way to get rid of the food or lose the extra weight.

Bulimia can lead to very serious health issues why is it of the upmost importance that it does get treated. It could lead for example to major hearth difficulties, teeth problems and for example severe damage to the kidneys.

Although we are not certain that the reasons are what can cause this eating disorder, we have found that there are certain individuals who are more at risk than others.

This includes for example people who have a family history of eating disorders, individuals who are under a lot of stress and people who require being in a good physical shape for school or work. A good example for that are cheerleaders and models.
