A good nights sleep is said to be the best way to restore and rejuvenate your body and mind and when you cannot achieve it for long periods your life and health will suffer considerably. Many people live with insomnia or lack of natural sleep for different reasons.
Lets first look at what insomnia is. Insomnia is a sleep disorder, the most common causes of insomnia is stress at work or home, financial or marital and certain medical conditions. Insomnia symptoms are generally lack of sleep for long periods of time, interrupted sleep or not being able to fall back to sleep once your sleep has been interrupted.
Insomnia treatment has been approached in many different ways and one of them is hypnosis.
A lot of people mistakenly believe that hypnosis is sleep, but effective hypnosis insomnia programs will only work if you are awake but in a deep state of relaxation. In this state, your unconscious mind is more open and accepting to suggestions. In the most successful programs, post-hypnotic suggestions are given to you to eliminate stress and set up a positive expectation of restful sleep.
How does hypnosis for insomnia actually work ? Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that is in between sleep and awareness; in this state one can access the subconscious level and thus, access most of your brain functions.
Hypnosis is used in treating many diseases most of which are mentally bases in order to induce a familiar pattern and bring back natural habits that once existed within you. Hypnosis for insomnia works in the same pattern, there may be required more than a few sessions to bring back your natural sleeping habit but at the same time hypnosis for insomnia is one of the safest and most natural way to bring back sleep in your life.
After thoroughly relaxing, the next step in self hypnosis insomnia therapy is understanding what compels you to suffer sleep disturbance. Another key component of a hypnosis insomnia course involves looking at small changes to your nightly ritual that will have the greatest effect on your ability to quickly fall asleep for sound and restful slumber.
Relieving stress is paramount for a hypnosis insomnia treatment to work. Visualizations can train the unconscious mind to automatically extinguish disturbing thoughts and feelings of anxiety and stress. These peaceful feelings stay with you through the day so that when it is time for bed, you can fall asleep quickly and rest throughout the entire night without interruption.
To permanently overcome insomnia, learning to relax with self-hypnosis is imperative, but it is not always possible to listen to a CD or watch a DVD. Learning how to give yourself post-hypnotic suggestions anytime, anywhere to bring about deep relaxation can easily be accomplished.
Hypnotherapy instructions for insomnia can be directives to the unconscious mind to use pleasant memories and fantasies to generate relaxation and and pleasant dreams. You will feel peaceful at bedtime and to have a positive expectation of sound and restful sleep. And that positive expectation will make you fall asleep quickly, and the dreams will make you sleep soundly and restfully all through the night.
Everyone responds differently to each type of hypnosis but most hypnosis insomnia program participants find their sleep issues are cured by hypnosis, and insomnia simply fades away like a bad dream.

Was he asleep or awake? weird sleep behaviour
By: wearthegrudge | 06-07-2008
When I sleep over my friends, I sleep in the same bed with him. We often sleep close, not always though. However my we often end up in the spoon posistion (just without his arm around me) We have never intially fallen asleep like that it sorta happens in the night at some point though, say if I get up to go to the toilet then come back he will have centered himself in the bed more given me less room obvs and ending up like a lot closer to him. once my friend was so close to me he had the side of his face resting on the back of my head behind me, and to like move would wake him up and make things awkward. Hes the weird part though, often we will lay like that for a long period of time, and suddenly he'll like move me away and turn over, once he pushed me away by my butt Iol. I heard him make some weird noise in his sleep last night when he was spooning me like some weird giggle lol, basicallaly idk if I should mention this to him or not?
