Causes and Treatment for Eczema on Face

Eczema is a skin condition which causes the skin to become prickly, chalky, and rough. Other characteristics of this skin condition are the redness of the skin and the occurrences of blisters which later on can become watery. It commonly affects the different parts of the body since we have direct contact with different substances everyday. Some of the triggering substances are found everywhere in the environment. The common causes of eczema on face, arms, and legs are exposure to air and sunlight, as well as contact with rough materials.

True enough, eczema on face can be very humiliating. It can absolutely bring down one's self esteem and can also lead to emotional distress.Fortunately, there are several things that you can do to prevent the symtoms of eczema especially in the facial area.We usually touch our face when we are washing our face and applying make up. These has been the routine of different people especially those who go to work. Our hands carry different kinds of germs and irritants. When we touch our face, the dirt from the hands irritates the sensitive skin on the face. Always wash your hands and keep them clean before touching your face. Also avoid places where your face would be exposed from smoke, dust, pollution, pollen, and animal dander.

Too much sweat and oil on the face can also increase the chances of a person to be affected with eczema. If the sweat and oil on the face becomes dry, it would cover the pores of the skin which prevents the perspiration in going out. Certainly, this can lead to chalky and scaly skin. This situation usually happens when you are exposed to the sun, and then the weather becomes very cold. Before you go out, try to observe the changing weather. When going outside apply skin creams to give protection from the ultraviolet rays of the sun.
Make sure that you eat a balanced diet, this will help in managing eczema. There are some foods which can cause allergic reactions to our skin. You must identify these kinds of foods and refrain from consuming them. There are certain kinds of foods you should also avoid if you have eczema such as eggs, dairy products, and fatty foods. Increase your supplements of vitamin and minerals to strengthen your immune system.

The definitive solution in preventing the occurrence of eczema is to boost your immune system.Make sure that you watch your diet and try to a eat healthy and well balanced food as well.
