Flu Shot Side Effects That You Should Know

People may confuse the swine flu and the seasonal flu due to the similarity of symptoms. But the global population has truly not seen anything like the swine flu in some time, and particular interest has been given to the swine flu shot side effects.

These concerns may be misplaced though, despite how serious the swine flu is. It can range from being very mild in some folks to feeling heavy and weighted down for others, and can result in death in the worst cases.

The symptoms are generally similar to the seasonal flu, and over the counter medications may be somewhat successful in dealing with it but need to be taken within 48 hours of feeling the symptoms. There were shortages of medications such as Tamiflu and Relenza during the first major wave of swine flu outbreaks. Hence, the best way to prevent the flu is to get vaccinated. Swine flu shot side effects are very minor and nothing to be concerned about.

As with any other illness, there are segments of the population that are more at risk for swine flu, such as children, pregnant women, and infants. People with a compromised immune system are obviously at more risk for obtaining the swine flu, as well as exacerbated symptoms.  Even though some reports have stated otherwise, the swine flu generally does not affect the lungs and respiratory system.

In any case, a doctor should be consulted to determine if you have swine flu. Children should especially be seen by a professional, and should never be given aspirin, as doing so could lead to a condition called Reyes syndrome which is very dangerous.

Even though the symptoms are worse, the numbers of people being affected by swine flu are much less than those that are being affected by the conventional flu. So don't worry, you have a better chance of getting the seasonal flu than you do of getting the swine flu!

Because it has been going around for some time, doctors can fairly readily determine if you have swine flu as opposed to seasonal flu. The most accurate diagnosis would come from a swab sample.

But to best prevent diagnosis in the first place, simply avoid as much as possible people you think may have the swine flu! Additionally, use preventative medicine to your advantage and get a shot. Swine flu shot side effects are minimal to none, and nothing to be worried about. Your health will thank you in the long run.

Vitamin D3 at 5000IU prevents H1F1 viruses from becoming active in Winter months when vitamin D blood levels are lowest. Full spectrum lights for 30 minutes per day are an even better solution because this gives complete vitamin D protection in Winter. Drug companies have grossly exaggerated the threat of yearly flu risks to sell vaccines for greater profits and harms the public welfare by causing alarm and needless worry.
