Gestational diabetes recipes are quite different from other diabetes because this kind diabetes begins during pregnancy and disappears after delivery. Unlike the other diets, this kind of diet focuses on providing sufficient energy and nutrients for both the mother's body and the baby's body, while still being able to provide stable blood sugar levels for the pregnant mother.

The goal of gestational diabetes recipes is to eat a well-balanced and controlled meal that will keep the body stable throughout each day with the nutrients taken in. It is usually best to eat every two to three hours and exercise lightly after every meal to maintain the digestive system's condition and prevent sugar levels from suddenly going up. The key is to eat moderately for every meal to maintain a stable energy level.

An example breakfast for someone who has diabetes while pregnant is composed of toast, hard boiled egg, grapes, and non-fat skim milk. The toast should be whole wheat bread, which has complex carbohydrates that are ideal for those who have diabetes since these can control glucose more. The grapes can be of any kind as long as they are fresh and better yet, organic. Top this off with non-fat skim milk, which also has fiber and carbohydrates.

For lunch, you can then try brown rice with fresh tomatoes, beans, salmon, vegetables, and cheddar cheese. This combination of foods contains all the necessary nutrients you will need while still help control your blood sugar levels.

You can also take a snack for both morning and afternoon composed of whole wheat bread with peanut butter and low-fat jam. Peanut butter will keep you energized while making you feel full, so you just have enough carbohydrates and energy.

As for dinner, you can eat several fruits like strawberries, green beans, and pineapple juice - marinated chicken breast. You should go light on dinner since you are about to sleep.
