Hair Loss Transplant For Thinning Hair

If you think only women are concerned about looking young, you are mistaken. There are also a lot of men who want to preserve their youthful look. However, they have differences in terms of their ways in achieving such. Women for example give more focus on preserving their skin to look young. Men on the other hand pay more attention to their hair. Men give more attention to their hair because a lot of them suffer from thinning hair. You know very well that baldness, though not necessarily always a sign of old age, is more often than not associated with that. Since the cause of male pattern baldness is caused by a rise in DHT, the most effective hair loss treatment for man is the one with that focuses on blocking the build up of DHT in the body. One such medication for male hair loss is finasteride. Finasteride is a hair loss treatment for man that works by preventing certain enzymes from converting testosterone into DHT.

You could choose to sit through hair transplant surgery which can give you extremely good results if carried out by an experienced professional. However, this form of treatment can leave quite a hole in your pocket. More affordable options include supplements that work in aiding the re-growth of hair, and these come in the form of oral and topical treatments. One of the most commonly used ingredients used with success in such treatments is referred to as minoxidil. This is commonly used along with vitamins, minerals, and other natural ingredients that aid the growth/re-growth of hair.Finasteride works by inhibiting the formation of DHT in the bloodstream. If you're unfamiliar with DHT, it is short for dihydrotestosterone, a male sex hormone that can wreak havoc on not only our hair follicles, but our prostate glands as well! Of course, that's another discussion.

Propecia is an oral prescription drug used as a treatment for male baldness. However some maverick dermatologists are successfully using it on their female patients. The drug (also known as Finestre) has been studied on men and has been shown to fe-grow natural hair in two out of three men, while halting hair loss in five out of six men. The drug nudges affected hair follicles to re-grow hair that is nearly as thick as the original hair - it is most effective in the crown area. The bad news is that Propecia takes up to 12 months to work, and any hair that re-grows can be lost if you stop taking the medication. The surgery will take about two to six hours, which depends on the entire amount of hair that is to be transplanted. Quite a lot of people will have the surgery done during the morning and back home or to work by the afternoon. This is one proven way to resolve the problem of balding, shedding or thinning, and you can expect to see some fine results in about one years time.
