Athlete's foot is a common fungal infection of the skin also known as tinea pedis. The fungus thrives in warm, damp environments, such as the locker rooms, health clubs, public showers, and indoor swimming pools.

Treat athlete's foot using garlic - Either crush or blend a couple cloves of garlic. Then rub it into the skin where you have athlete's foot. It will take 2 to 3 days to heal all of the dry dead skin but works great.

One of the best ways to cure athlete's foot is by using tea tree oil. This amazing oil has many antifungal properties that will help get rid of any type of bacteria build up on your feet. How you will want to use this oil is to first make a solution of it. You will want to take four cups of water and then place one cup of vinegar and add it to the water. After you have done this you will want to soak your feet for at least thirty minutes twice a day. This will help kill all of the bacteria on your feet, and after you have soaked your feet, you will want to rub baking soda between your toes and then rinse your feet fifteen minutes after you first apply the baking soda. After you have done so, you will want to rub tea tree oil on your toes and wherever you have an athletes foot because this acts just like any other antifungal ointment

Make a solution of one part of vinegar and four parts of lukewarm water. Soak the infected foot in that solution for half an hour twice daily.

Hydrogen Peroxide: Apply hydrogen peroxide with a Q-Tip or cotton swab especially just after a bath, shower or foot soak. Allow to dry. If you wish, you may follow with an application of apple cider vinegar and then, after your feet have dried, apply one of the moisturizers mention above. Repeat twice daily until all signs of athlete's foot are gone.

Make Tincture

20 to 30 garlic cloves, minced
2 to 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 to 4 teaspoons powdered cloves
5 ounces 100-proof vodka

Add garlic, cinnamon, and cloves to vodka in a dark-colored glass jar or bottle with lid. Seal tightly. Store out of direct sunlight for two weeks, shaking to mix every few days. The tincture will be ready to use in 14 days. To treat athlete's foot, use cotton balls or a cloth to apply this tincture to the entire sole of the foot as well as between all the toes. Apply twice a day, morning and night. Let dry, then dust the entire foot with cornstarch. If a rash or any unusual irritation develops, discontinue using Athlete's Foot Treatment. If, after having used this treatment for two weeks and athlete's foot symptoms continue, consult your physician.

To treat Athlete's Foot or a case of foot fungi, give Eucalyptus oil a try. For best results, apply a few drops to the affected areas two to three times daily. As well as killing the fungi, it helps relieve the associated itching.

You can also soak your feet in tea. Fill a large bowl with a quart of boiling water and add six tea bags. After the tea has cooled enough to be comfortably warm, soak your feet for a half hour or an hour. The tannic acid in tea kills some of the fungus and is soothing for painful, itchy feet.

At night, apply rubbing alcohol (it stings for a couple of seconds), then wait until your feet are completely dry and sprinkle them with talcum powder (the unscented kind is preferable).
