Ear infection can inflict one or both the ears. They are especially common in children unto age eight. And they are the most common cause of earache. The discomfort maybe mild with a dull-ache or searing intense pain in front of, above or behind the ears. Sometimes there is temporary hearing loss

Mix lobelia and garlic oil or olive oil, place a few drops in the ear and plug it with cotton this will help with pain.

There are also a few herbs that can be helpful in fighting off the underlying cause of ear infections, which is usually a viral or bacterial infection. Goldenseal and echinacea are both known for their abilities to cleanse the body. Taking doses of Vitamin C can also be beneficial. Individuals with ear infections should avoid consuming dairy products, as these foods and drinks tend to increase the body’s production of mucus. As a result, the congestion and pain associated with ear infections is worsened

Clean the ears out once a week with 1/2 peroxide and 1/2 water let set for 10 minutes then turn to let drain, I then gently dry mine out with a q-tip just to get the excess moisture.

A suggested home remedy concerning the fungus associated with swimmer's ear incorporates the use of vinegar, as its properties effectively treat such condition. The formulation's recipe is simple, as white vinegar is mixed with water that is clean, at a fifty, fifty ratio. To administer, drop the blended solution into the ear. Make a mixture by adding 1 tablespoon of almond carrier oil, 2 drops of lavender essential oil, 2 drops of chamomile oil and 3 drops of tea tree essential oil. Warm this mixture and add 2 drops thrice a day to the infected ear.

Tea Tree Oil

Mix a few drops of Tea Tree Oil in an equal amount of vegetable oil and put two to three drops in the infected ear.

Warm olive oil or castor oil-put a few drops down the ear and plug with a cotton ball. Lay on the other side of the head for half and hour or so. Then turn over and let drain. This draws out the infection. This is a great home remedy for ear infection.
