How To Cope Naturally With Headaches During Pregnancy

When you are pregnant you want to do everything that is best for you and your baby. With this in mind it is important to realize that we are surrounded on a daily basis by all sorts of chemicals and medicines and some of them can be hazardous.

It is very difficult to keep up with current research into these chemicals and compounds, as this seems to change on a daily basis. People who work within these industries will be familiar with the situation when one day a chemical has certain hazardous and toxic levels, and the following week new research confirms that it is even more dangerous and hazardous than it was thought to be.

For these reasons it is important to be extra careful when coming into contact with any chemicals and medicines while pregnant as the baby can be highly vulnerable to toxic chemicals. The obvious example of this is the thalidomide cases of the 1960s.

If you listen to your body it will often tell you what you need. When you have any sickness during pregnancy it is important to understand why it is happening rather than to simply treat the symptoms.

What Are The Main Causes Of Headaches During Pregnancy?

Your body is going through major hormonal changes during the early stages of pregnancy and this can cause headaches for some women, equally, some women who regularly suffer with headaches may find they are reduced. The main causes of headaches during pregnancy are related to your overall health; tiredness, hunger, stress, dehydration, and lack of exercise and fresh air.

Your body needs to work a lot harder to grow your baby, and it is important that you give you body everything that is needed to do the job. You will need plenty of fluids and good healthy food to grow your baby, but you are carrying all this goodness to your baby through your blood, so you need to have good circulations, this is why exercise and fresh air are important.

If your headaches only start later in pregnancy when the baby is mostly developed it is important to see your doctor or health professional as it may be linked to high blood pressure. High blood pressure is common towards the end of pregnancy but you will need to have it checked regularly to ensure that it is under control.

How to prevent or reduce pregnancy headaches
