No matter which reason you have bad breath, they both are from bacteria growth. Believe it or not bad breath is a condition that affects millions of people from all over the world. Bad breath simply comes and goes for some people. Perhaps we only wake up with bad breath in the morning. Or eating certain foods, like onion or pizza. These are more obvious triggers for bad breath. Did you know that there are some foods that can help cure your bad breath? Make sure that your eating habits are right and that a balanced diet should be eaten. Balanced diet includes carbs and protein rich food. Your diet should also contain fruits, vegetables and plenty of fluids. Following are few things which can used to prevent bad breath.

1. Vitamin C- Any kind of fruit that is high in vitamin C such as melons, berries and citrus fruit will help your bad breath. They are also very helpful in preventing gingivitis and other gum diseases. You should be getting these from your foods though and not from supplements which can cause gastrointestinal which causes bad breath.

2. Acidic foods and drinks like coffee: Acidic foods and drinks create an environment in which bacteria will multiply faster. Alcohol: Even if its in a mouthwash, alcohol will dry your mouth out, and then you have all the bad breath problems associated with a dry mouth.

3. Chew herbs like coriander, eucalyptus, cardamom and rosemary to fight bad breath. These herbs helps in fighting the bad breath. You can chew them fresh or you can add in hot water as a tea and end the meal with these herbs because they work excellently for digestion.

4. Yogurt reduces bad breath because- it reduces the level of the smelly hydrogen sulfide in the mouth. – It diminishes the amount of bacteria in the mouth. Vitamin D from yogurt (and cheese and milk) creates an inhospitable environment for bacteria growth. This is one of the best bad breath cure.

5. Fresh Herbs- Yes you can munch on fresh herbs throughout the day to get better smelling breath. If you don't want to munch on them throughout the day then you can add them to your favorite drink. Hot drink would be a lot better the cold drinks. Things like rosemary, cardamom, spearmint and tarragon will help.

6. Another thing that helps get rid of bad breath is drinking Green tea. Green tea contains certain nutrients that actually help get rid of that horrible breath. So make sure you start drinking some green tea if you want to get rid of that horrid breath. All you need to do is drink a few glasses each day.

7. Sugarless gum can freshen breath (masking odors). It also is another way to increase saliva production. This rinses plaque and bacteria away. Mints can mask as well, but they only have a brief effect. Remember however that chewing gum and mints can never replace brushing your teeth after a meal!
