This is Nothing Short of Being a Miracle Food – Especially for People Dealing With Hypoglycemia

The Miracle Food!

The food we’re talking about has different names, depending on who sells it. If you’re going to do an Internet search for it after you’ve read this article, search for dehulled hemp seed, shelled hemp seed, hemp nuts or hemp hearts. We know it as hemp hearts.

Hemp hearts are the fruit of the cannabis sativa plant and are called ‘nuts’. Hemp hearts are far more nutritious than even soybean – more on that in a moment – contains more essential fatty acids than any other source, is second only to soybeans in complete protein (but is more digestible in humans), is high in B-vitamins and is 35% dietary fiber. We like to think of hemp hearts as “The Miracle Food”! Especially for people dealing with low blood sugar or hypoglycemia.

For many hypoglycemics, breakfast is the most challenging part of their hypoglycemia diet. You want to stay away from bread, sugary cereals, sweetened orange juice, etc. As you’ll read in a minute, hemp hearts can solve that problem.

Nutrients, proteins, and fuel

Human tissues require nourishment every morning with slow digesting proteins, omega fats and raw, fiber foods containing vitamins and enzymes – essential nutrients – not starch, sugar and blended processed foods. Those who consume most of their essential nutrients each morning have all day to utilize any possible excess and can control weight easily.

Hunger is a signal that the body requires protein. Those who consume fruit and other foods without protein when they are truly hungry will continue to be hungry. Those who eat low-protein starches (cereals, breads, potatoes, pastas and rice – all are no-no’s for hypoglycemics) when their bodies call for protein will be hungry again in two hours. Those who use hemp hearts and other high protein foods to avoid starches are able to control weight by extending the intervals between their meals and snacks – without feeling the symptoms of low blood sugar.

Physical weakness is a demand for fuel. Those who fuel up with quick digesting sugars and starches will be weak again and will require fuel again soon. Those who use hemp hearts and other foods containing large percentages of slow digesting essential fats – instead of sugar and starch – do not require energy-boosting snacks and can control weight easily.

Digestive systems function best with raw, unprocessed foods that release nutrients slowly and continuously – especially if you’re on a hypoglycemia diet. The fibers in raw, unprocessed foods remain intact to tie wastes together so they are able to move with contractions through the digestive system. Those who consume hemp hearts will have no problem expelling wastes regularly.

Those who eat significant amounts of sugar, starch and processed foods inevitably become obese – or they cheat themselves of essential nutrients, causing progressive tissue health failure. Insufficient essential nutrients initially cause dry hair and skin, eczema and psoriasis. Later it may also cause arthritis and prostate inflammation. Insufficient essential nutrients eventually cause veins and arteries to lose their elasticity: unable to expand and contract with each heartbeat, hardened blood vessels do not assist the heart with circulation or keep themselves clean. Deteriorating blood vessels increase the possibility of stroke, aneurysm and heart disease and eventually result in premature health failure.

Hemp hearts are the most concentrated source of essential nutrients known. Those who consume at least four, but probably five, heaping teaspoons of hemp hearts every morning, preferably with fruit (like berries) and yogurt, notice from the first day that they have enough energy for the entire day, and that they are not hungry again until lunch time.

Those who “fuel up” with hemp hearts early each morning have sufficient nutrients for tissue health, and sufficient energy for success and good mental health.

Those without excess weight who wish to “turbo-charge” themselves for amazing productivity and those who need to rebuild their bodies after serious illness can consume hemp hearts again in the afternoon. Sedentary individuals should avoid consuming hemp hearts after breakfast or they may have too much energy to sleep later.

Extra, Extra, Extra!

Here is some more great news and additional nutritional facts about hemp hearts – as if you needed more coaxing to go get a bag right now… For your information, hemp hearts:

-Contain more required amino acids (proteins) than milk, meat or eggs.

-Contain about 47% oil, 86% of which is Omega 3, 6 and 9.

-Contain ALL the essential and Omega fats required for human health.

-Contain several times more Omega 3 essential fat than any fish.

-Provide way more energy than energy bars – without their sugar and with less saturated fat.

-Are suitable for those unable to eat gluten, milk, nuts and meat.

-Are perfect for those avoiding carbohydrates – like hypoglycemics.

On top of all that, here is a short list of what else you’ll find aplenty in hemp hearts: iron, calcium, sodium, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin B1, vitamin D, vitamin A, potassium, and phosphorus.

Buyers beware! Stay away from Hemp Protein and Hemp Flour. These products are made by grinding the wastes which remain after the valuable oil has been extracted from whole hemp seeds (hearts). They are mostly composed of indigestible shells.

Take the test

If you want to impress yourself or if you want to impress others with the amazing ability of hemp hearts to satisfy hunger and provide energy, we invite you to perform the following experiment: everyone knows that if they restrict themselves to any quantity of fruit for breakfast that they will be hungry again very soon – usually within an hour. We suggest that you eat five tablespoons of hemp hearts on top of a bowl of fruit (blueberries is our favorite) and yogurt for breakfast, because you will then certainly notice that you could easily go without food for many hours, at least till lunch for sure. You can also add hemp hearts to your favorite hot cereal or porridge. Those who begin their day with hemp hearts are nutritionally satisfied in a manner that is very unusual – if not amazing.

Bon appétit!

Eat well, be well, live well!
