10 Easy Tips To Clean and Organize Your Home

Springtime is here and if your house is like mine, it's also the time I start to decide that something just has to be done about the mess and clutter that has accumulated over the winter. In trying to free myself from the chaos that surrounds me, I have come up with these 10 Easy Tips To Clean and Organize Your Home. Hopefully following this plan will assist you too in getting your home organized and give you a little peace of mind.

1. Make a list of what you would like to accomplish- put the list in order by what needs to be finished first.

2. Take it one room at a time- don't get overwhelmed by the whole picture.

3. Be prepared before you start- have your cleaning supplies, garbage bags and storage containers ready to use.

4. Set up a schedule of events- use your time wisely and efficiently but don't expect to finish all in one day.

5. Recruit family members- don't try to do this alone, share the wealth. Every family member should share in the responsibility of keeping things clean and organized. Make sure each member knows what is expected and that the job is age appropriate.

6. A place for everything- make sure things are in the appropriate locations and put them back after use.

7. Declutter- make a keep, donate, sell or pitch pile and stick to it. Don't think about it too much just do it! Once it is in the appropriate "pile" it stays there, no second thoughts.

8. Take breaks- have some refreshments handy and don't forget to thank and praise everyone for what they are accomplishing.

9. Don't get off track- concentrate on what you are trying to do and stick with it until it is finished.

10. Reward Everyone- again thank everyone for a job well done and decide as a group what you should do together as prize for completing your mission.

Now you can sit back and relax a little. Your home is finally clean and organized. Do you too want that great feeling of accomplishment? Well, there is no time like the present to get started. Keep these tips handy when you are ready to Clean and Organize Your Home.
