• If the plywood is supposed to be exposed to water/moisture/weather, painting their edges would extend the life of plywood. It creates a layer that prevent edges from absorbing moisture or water.
• Always store plywood flat to prevent it from warping. Even if you need to store it on its edge, keep it on wooden blocks so that the bottom edge won't absorb moisture.
• Rub all the edges of plywood with a stub of candle wax to keep from absorbing moisture.
• While cutting plywood with a hand-saw, keep the finished side face up in order to prevent it from splintering. However in case of a circular saw or jigsaw, the finished side should be keep facing down.
