How easy is wall fountain installation?

An indoor wall fountain is a great way to bring the relaxing sounds of nature into your home or office. The soft and soothing sounds of gently trickling water will relax you when are feeling stressed.

Wall fountains, whether an indoor wall fountain in a favorite room or outside on a secluded patio, helps to provide the right environment in which to melt away the stress of the day.

If you are thinking of installing a wall fountain, the two most obvious questions you will ask are “what will a wall fountain cost? And how easy is wall fountain installation?

The cost of a wall water fountain, as with anything else, depends on size, materials used, ancillaries such as additional lighting and labor. This all depends on you and how much you are willing to spend. Some very good deals are available for wall fountains and a good one can be obtained for a relatively modest price.

Installation of a wall water fountain is easy, requires minimum tools and in most instances can be completed within an hour leaving you free to relax and enjoy the soft sounds of cascading water.

To make your wall fountain installation a success, there are some preliminary steps you need to take. These may seem obvious questions, but many people overlook the obvious.

Decide on the location for the fountain. Will the area be large enough to provide good airflow? Having an air current running past the fountain will allow the health enhancing negative ions to flow to other areas and improve overall air quality.

Decide on the size of the fountain. When installing a wall fountain, it is important to gauge the right size. Placing a tiny wall fountain on a large wall will lose both the beauty and effect of the fountain. Conversely, an overly large fountain will may be overpowering. Some indoor wall fountains are custom made to fit on a whole wall but the surrounding space is large enough to accommodate it.

Decide on the material for the fountain. The material that is used on the fountain will determine its overall weight. Weight is a major factor to consider when hanging a wall fountain. Contact your wall fountain supplier to find if wall braces may be needed. Always locate and hang from a wall stud.

Decide on a power source for the fountain. All water fountains need electrical power to operate the pump. Ideally these will be either from a mains power source of solar energy. If you are connecting to a mains source, you will need an electrical outlet close to the fountains location and preferable hidden behind the fountain. if you go solar, ensure that your location has good light over a sustained period for maximum efficiency.

The wall fountain will arrive soon after you order it. Depending on its size it may be in one piece or two to three interlocking pieces. With the brackets in place, mounining the wall fountain is very easy. Usually it is just a matter of sliding on to the brackets. It is advised that you have someone help you to make the process easier.

When it is mounted, fill to the required level with water and plug in the power.  Within a moment or two, the fountain will be fully operational with water cascading down the ornate face.
