Though these may be very minor repairs, but, at the end you are playing with electric current which is a great risk on your part. Implementing home electrical projects by your own just for saving money should not be the only concern but, you are doing it at the risk of your life. So, in some cases, it is preferable to hire a professional electrician rather than trying to do it by yourself. You may be aware of the common mistakes but, there are chances of getting major problems while trying electrical projects.
Thus, if you are taking a risk to perform home electrical projects by yourself, take considerable time and attention. Before starting the work, take complete knowledge about the work as well as the precautions such as shutting off the breaker box to avoid electric shock, do not twist the wires together and cover them with electrical tape but instead try to make proper wiring so that there is no risk at the later stage.
In the electrical work, even the smallest mistake may get converted into a serious problem. So, if you decide doing the electrical work by yourself, consider even the small thing to be very important in order to prevent the accidents.
