RTA Cabinets and Furniture - What the Heck is RTA?

So,

RTA Cabinets and Furniture - What the heck are they?

Let's define RTA first:

RTA or Ready to Assemble is an ever growing term that simply means the product which you have / are purchasing has not been assembled yet. If you think about everything you have ever bought (most everything), it has all been assembled at some point before being able to be available for you to purchase (except RTA products).

RTA products were initially criticized as extremely cheap, made of particle board and other flimsy materials, had a very short life-span, and were actually difficult to assemble (leaving the customer wishing they would have paid the additional money for the same product assembled).  But the RTA industry has made great lengths since its launch. Now, most RTA products are made with the same quality woods, metals, etc., as you would find in all assembled products and for the most part are extremely easy to assemble.

Did you know that the majority of furniture and cabinets that you can buy from any store is shipped to them unassembled? The store then has workers who assemble the products, either before delivery or before pick-up.

You should really ask yourself, "why am I paying so much more of my hard earned money for furniture and kitchen cabinets that are made (and shipped from manufacturers) for easy assembly?

You can literally save yourself thousands of dollars by purchasing the same products before they are assembled.  And if you don't want to assemble them yourself, hire a contractor to assemble them for you, it would still be cheaper! Think about what you could do with the extra money...how about a week on the beach in a tropical island? Sound good anyone?

RTA kitchen cabinets can be excellent quality or pretty bad quality (refer to my other article, entitled "RTA Kitchen Cabinets - Good Quality vs. Bad Quality" for more information)

I am learning more and more about RTA Furniture and RTA Kitchen Cabinets every day.  Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have about either subject at Tyler@thertastore.com.

If you have a subject (that is related to RTA) that you want to see written about, please let me know and I will do my best to provide accurate and useful information.

Thanks everyone!
