The Water Budget feature allows users to change the frequency and amount of water put out to comply with local water regulations.
Capacity Suitable for Small Landscapes
The four station control is appropriate for home landscapes. Control panels with six and eight station capacities are best for larger, more diverse landscapes and business landscapes. Unfortunately, this control panel is not modular. In order to add capacity, an additional panel must be installed. The panel and circuitry can handle one 24VAC, 7VA solenoid valve per station, in addition to a main valve for the entire system, or everything on the control panel.
Backup Program for Extended Power Outage
In the event of an extended power outage, the system will re-start when power is available and run 10 minutes per cycle beginning 8 hours after power resumes - once per day for the 7-day custom cycle or on the first day of the 2-, 3- or 5-day fixed cycle. This way, even if the programs are erased, the lawn or garden will not go completely without water until the system can be re-programmed.
For small landscapes, the quality and usability of the Rain Bird ESP-4TM 4 Station Indoor Controller is hard to beat.
