Wood Working Ideas

Are you looking for woodworking ideas to build a garden shed for your rakes and shovels? How about woodworking projects for bat houses to help control the population of pesky insects?  Image yourself building a rocking chair for family or friends to relax in on a Sunday evening watching your favorite team playing football.

Do you have a workshop that needs storage cabinets built on the wall to house your woodworking supplies or tools? What about flower pot you build out of cedar in an octagon or hexagon shape? Do you read a lot or know someone who does that needs a bookcase to hold all their reading material?

Remember back to when you where a kid and the toys you played with; which did you play with the most? Would you like to bring back those childhood memories by building some of those toys out of wood? A picnic table for the back yard might be nice for the family barbecues. Building a wind mill would be a great conversational piece while adding an esthetic appeal to your property.

Consider building birdhouses to attract the many species of birds that you can enjoy watching with your morning cup of coffee or just relaxing in the evening. Maybe a welcome sign to hang by your door with a carved quote that someone wants to read each time they come


These are only a few of the many possibilities for woodworking projects you can build. The next time you are out and about pay attention to the things you see. What caught your eye and interested you the most? Can you duplicate it out of wood? Can you think of another propose to use it for?
