If you are looking to find a very chill bar to soak up a few whiskey sours, it is a pretty safe bet the Bonifacio High Street is a good destination which has over a dozen "chill" type of environments for you to take advantage of.

However, if you are in the mood for some of the crazier Bars in Fort Bonifacio then you should probably find your way a few blocks up the street to "The Fort Strip."  When you are on the "Strip" pretty much all restaurants double as bars, and all bars double as dance clubs.  Some do not undergo the conversion until midnight, but its a safe bet that you will stumble from one unforgettable boogie session to the next if you are planning a night out on the strip.

Lastly, if you are looking more for the type of Bars In Fort Bonifacio that compliment a day full of eating and shopping, this is probably where Burgos Circle comes in.   You can have a few drinks, listen to some music, drop in on some world class dining, pick up some awesome souvenirs, and then jump back to shots of rum!

Market Market has some very classy drinking establishments as well, but this is more of a residential area, so unless you are staying in one the hotels/condos in the area, the closer you are to Bonifacio High Street, the more alive your night will likely be.

If you are in southeast Asia and are looking for a place to soak in some good old fashioned intoxication, check out the bars in Fort Bonifacio.

Las Vegas? Nope. Hong Kong? Not this time of year. Paris? It's getting old. London? Too cold this time of year. While searching for a travel destination this year, I suggest you do the unorthodox. In the midst of a relentless economic recession, the usual vacation hot spots are either empty or unbelievably expensive. The dry spell of finacial prosperity has driven away most tourist, or caused many resorts to hike up thier prices to make up for the lack of volume.

With that said, there is something different about nightlife in the Philippines which will always echo in your mind at night.

There were days when cities like Las Vegas, Hong Kong, or London were nearly synonymous with the urge to indulge. The minute a global traveler would get that itch that could only be scratched be late night excursions in Paris, martinis in New York City, or reckless abandonment in Bangkok, off they would go on chartered planes and underwater trains, heading into abyss and loving it.

The jet seemed to be bouncing off of the clouds at this point in my flight. The turbulence was business as usual for those used to the flight from Tokyo-Narita to Manila International. With that said, most of the passengers seemed to be either gripping there seat handles tightly or saying a silent prayer that they landed safely. I was not nervous, for two reasons.
