4 Reasons Why Small Reports are Better Than E-books

I love small reports. Not only can whip them out in literally no time at all, but customers gobble them up like warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream. Now I am not saying that full blown e-books aren’t great. They definitely have their place in your information business portfolio, But from a readers stand point I’ll take a “to-the-point” small report any day.

Reason #1. Faster To Write.
Let me just restate the obvious, they are much faster to write. When it comes to writing a small report you can usually knock one out in as little as 2-3 days depending on your experience level and your research time. If you are brand new to writing, then a small report seems much more do-able then writing an entire e-book that could take several weeks or even several months to complete. Once you have completed a small 7-10 page report, then writing your first 50-100 page e-book will be a piece of cake.

Reason # 2 Gets Straight to the Point.
I don’t know about you? But I am a to the point kind of guy. I’d much rather spend 10 minutes or so reading a small report, than a few hours reading an entire e-book only to end up with the same information. This also allows the reader to get a feel for your quality of content and a great way to build trust. And trust is the key to future sales.

Reason # 3 Great Viral Traffic Generators.
Small reports are a fantastic way to generate traffic to you website. Just give you customers the right to re-distribute your report for free. Of course you will have links within the contents of your report that will lead back to your website. Or better yet affiliate links leading back to other products or services that you promote. If the content of you small report is deemed valuable to your customer they will gladly share that information with others.

Reason # 4 Great List Builders
Small reports are great list builders. I am sure you have signed up for a few your self. You gladly gave away you e-mail address in order to receive a small report or short e-mail study course. By offering your small report to your potential customers in exchange for their e-mail address you get more opportunities to be in contact with that customer. Did you know that it takes an average of 7 visits from a potential customer before they will make a purchase?

Well, there you have it. These are just a few reasons why I think small reports should be a part of any business owners marketing arsenal. Not only will your customers love them, but you will quickly become recognized as an expert in your field. Heck, you may even start a full time small report business.

'To Err is Human', but in trading it regularly happens that traders will purposely make calls that create losing trades. Now we are not talking about losses that come about due to checking out a trading plan or a specific indicator. Nor are we having a look at straightforward blunders committed only by accident. If our target is to profit, then why would we do these things that are obviously against what we are right? This phenomenon has many extraordinarily undesirable results tha...

You Can Write a Bestseller, You Really Can!

By: Dr. Gary S. Goodman | 11/12/2009
I might be jogging, which I'll do once more after I have banged this out, when a title for a book will pop into mind. It might be a play-on-words, or a fragment that is funny, something the magma at my molten mentis spews forth. And usually, I can recognize a winner, though some of these gems are more appropriate for an article than a book-length exposition. One thing I have discovered is if it starts with the words, "You Can" it is very promising, indeed.

In recent past articles, I wrote about “Why Should I Write a Book or Ebook,” “What Should I Write About,” “Who Is My Ideal Reader?,” and “The Cure for a Common Case of Writer’s Block.” Next in this sequence, I wanted to offer some straight tips about how to write that book or ebook.
