The 3 Step Process to Creating Your Own Ebook

The demand for high quality, low cost ebooks on the web is simply staggering. You can find many Ebay Powersellers that are making a great income from selling these excellent information products. Selling digital products (ebooks etc) can be one of the most profitable businesses you can run. Having your own ebook can make you a fantastic recurring income both on Ebay and your own websites.

Creating your own ebook is a lot simpler than you imagine. It is basically a 3 step process. Lets get into it . . .

Step One - Selecting Your Ebooks Topic

The best way to write your own ebook is to concentrate on writing about something you enjoy doing or something you're knowledgeable on. This could be a hobby that you've been doing for years. It could be on any subject you like. Maybe you're good at horse riding, football, creating music on your pc, the list is endless.

It has always been far easier to write about something you enjoy rather than something you know little about. Researching your topic to add content has never been easier with the internet at your fingertips. Just write a list of keywords that you think will go well with your ebook and then type them into a search engine and start browsing, making notes as you go. You will soon find that you have a multitude of information in your notebook.

Now you can start using your notes to help lay out your ebook. Think about chapters, sub headings etc and try to lay them out so they follow into each other.

Step Two - Writing Your Ebook

Ok now you have your chapters and headings laid out, lets start writing! Use your research if you get stuck but the best way is simply to start typing. Don't worry, the words will come, especially if it's a subject you know something about. You'll soon have your very own creation in front of you. Don't worry about the formatting etc to begin with, just keep writing. You can sort out the formatting and spelling when you've finished.

Step Three - Preparing It For Sale

Once you've checked your spelling and formatting you now need to convert it to a format everyone can read. The best format for this is to create a PDF document. These documents can be read on all computers and macs. If you're using Open Office to create your ebook, creating a PDF is as simple as clicking a button! Now you should think about an ebook cover graphic. Graphics help make your ebook look more professional and they also help increase sales. After all people like to see what they are getting even if its a downloadable digital product. Simply Google 'free image software' to find a program to create your ebook cover. If you really don't want to create your own graphics then outsource it to a professional. An ebook cover graphic can be as little as $27 nowadays.

The next thing to do is create your salespage or Ebay listing description. This is also easier than you think. Start with a headline that grabs peoples attention. Then give them an introduction, add a few bullet points (you can use your chapters for this), explain why your ebook will help them and then add an order link. Don't forget the AIDA rule. AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. Use this when you create your salespage and you won't go far wrong.
