<b>What is a viral eBook?</b>  When you hear this for the first time, your initial impression may be negative.  But for website marketing I assure you this is a good thing.  Simply put, a viral eBook is just an eBook being passed from person to person or website to website, like a virus.

The eBook you create should contain a lot of interesting and useful information for the reader.  If you want this to be passed around the internet, then you are going to have to provide people with a reason to do so.  Good quality information is a way to do this.  This information should be relevant to your website so you attract the right kind of visitors.

<b>The idea behind the viral eBook is to promote something;</b> this may be your website, a product you sell, or even an affiliate product you are trying to profit from.  One technique is to provide the reader with information and then promote a product so that the reader can learn more.  If the reader is interested, then they can click on the link.  This link may be to your website or to an affiliate website (which would include your Affiliate ID).

What is happening is your eBook is being passed from person to person.  While it is being passed throughout the internet, people are clicking on your links and buying your products or a product you are an affiliate of.  Your eBook has spread like a ‘virus’, and you are getting more visitors to your site and selling more products.  The best part is you are getting all this with very little effort on your part. 

In order to increase the spread of your viral eBook, you need to give your readers a reason to want to pass it around.  A simple, yet powerful, way to do this is through branding.  This gives your readers the ability to change certain parts of your eBook with their information.

<b>With branding, they will be able to change certain links in your eBook and even change the Affiliate ID.</b>  Of course, this is all controlled by you at the time you create your eBook.  When you first write your eBook, you set up certain variables that can be changed by the reader.  After your reader downloads the eBook, they can simply change the variables to what they want.  The reader can then change the links to their website and change the Affiliate ID to their own.  In this way, they are changing your eBook and making it profitable for themselves as well.  Of course you don’t let them change all your links, only enough to make it profitable for both of you.
