Website traffic is a graph of the number of people visiting your site. It looks like just a series of web pages that we visit with a web browser. Website traffic is one thing, but targeted traffic is everything.

The easiest way that I have found to increase targeted website traffic is to focus each website page or blog post on a specific niche in the market. Website traffic is the most important part of any internet business. Without marketing web traffic your website business will not succeed.

It is the number of visitors to a website and the number of pages they visit. Also, it is the amount of data sent and received. Website traffic is the most important component of profitability for most Web businesses, so people are willing to pay you a premium to redirect some of the traffic in their direction.

Search engine optimization is another way to get free traffic to your site. You will need to know how they work so you might have to study up. Search for free link exchange directories and programs. Research and locate sites that offer similar or complementary products or services and request a link to your site in exchange for one from yours.

Search engines scour the internet for websites with updated, unique content and then they add those sites to their listings. When a person does a search for a specific keyword, the most relevant websites are displayed.

Search engine traffic is wonderful because visitors search you out, rather than the other way around. Find out what key phrases people use to search for the type of products or services that you sell.

Website conversion occurs at the interaction between the right visitor with the right product or service that satisfies their intentions. The first part of the equation, "visitor type," either increases or decreases the potential of the second part, "actions completed.

Websites are not able to function without it, as it is the amount of data and information received and sent by a website visitor. A website should have increased web traffic in order to survive.

Generating content, through article writing, blogs, video, and podcasting with syndication of the information, can send tons of targeted visitors to your website at no cost. Another powerful way of increasing website traffic is to consistently work on building backlinks, from reputable, related sites, to your site. Generating substantial traffic is a great start, but in order to be successful you must have an adequate conversion rate.

A conversion rate is basically the percentage of site traffic that develops into an online sale of a service or product. Generally directories such as EzineArticles.com and IdeaMarketers.com are two of the best, but there are literally thousands of directories you can submit to. Using an article submission service such as SubmitYourArticle.com is a great way to get your articles out to hundreds of directories with one click.

DVD Player/VCR Combo vs. DTV Set-Top Converter Box -- Problem
By: Katie | 25-06-2008
I connected my digital conversion set-top box to the tv, executed the setup sequence, and the tv is working fine. Now, though, the combination DVD player/VCR I have always used with the same tv (with an RF modulator) displays video, but the audio is not working.  Anyone know what I did wrong with the setup?  My instinct is that it 's something very simple that I overlooked. I tried shutting the set-top converter box off and operating the tv and peripheral the "old" way, but the DVD player/VCR is still not "talking."  Thank you for any help you can provide.
