In order to add new languages to your Magento Website please Follow these easy steps and enjoy your multilingual site:
- Enter your Magento admin panel
- Go to "System > Manage Stores". Here you can see the three added store views; you can edit an existing one or add a new one using the buttons at the top.
- In case you want to add a new language, it's better to use the "Create Store View" button.
- Go to "System > Magento Connect > Magento Connect Manager"
- Now go to magentocommerce.com where you need to download your language pack
- Go back to the admin panel
- Now go to "System > Configuration"
- Select the store view
- Set your "Countries" and "Locale" options
- Save the configuration.
Note: Be sure to clear the cache before trying to use your new language.
That's it, now when you go to the front-end of the site; you'll notice a dropdown menu allowing the language switching.
