Four Steps To Freedom, How To Easily Double Your Profit By Switching From EBay to EBay Alternatives

So you're a reseller using the online auction site eBay and you've found that your profits from this site are slowly being eroded away as eBay makes changes to their terms of service, increases their fees and generally makes life more difficult for sellers.

There is a good chance you have decided to try listing some of your items on one of the many eBay alternative sites that have cropped up all over the internet to maximize your exposure and increase your earnings.

But how exactly can you do this?

The only really effective way to stop using eBay is to simply dive in and start using another site.

The problem is often that there are so many eBay alternatives that choosing the right one for your home business can be a difficult.

Here are four steps that any entrepreneur can take to make the change to reselling on another site:

**Step 1: Decide What You Want To Achieve And Do Your Research**

If you are looking for an eBay alternative site that will save you money over eBay fees, there are many sites that charge less.

Spend the first day looking at eBay alternatives and getting familiar with their fees.

However, if you want to maintain high traffic and high turnover, avoid newer auction sites that don't have enough traffic to bring you quick sales.

Look at sites like Amazon, Overstock, eCrater and eBid and compare their rates and features.

**Step 2: Sign Up On The Sites And List Your Products**

The next step is to sign up with the site that you have chosen and start creating listings for that site.

Stop relisting items on eBay at this time.

Having listings on both sites briefly will help you to transition to the new site.

While it might take a couple of days for you as a new seller to start making sales on the eBay alternative site, you will still be making sales on eBay.

If the site can help you in importing your auction listings, you can also choose that route.

**Step 3: Start Ending Long-Term EBay Listings**

If you have 30-day listings going on eBay, end them early and relist those items on the new site instead.

If you have seven-day auction listings running, let those end on their own and then relist them on the new site after they do.

This will ensure that your auction fees won't go to waste and will give you some time to create new listings for the eBay alternative site.

**Step 4: Start Spending Time On The EBay Alternative You Have Selected.**

If you shop on the new site, you will start to build up the feedback you need to make sales.

Some people will trust a new seller, but others want to see a few reviews on your profile before they will take a chance with you.

If the new site has a forum, go there and introduce yourself.

Buying on the site and chatting on the forum will give other members a chance to see what you have to offer.

There you have it, expanding your online presence and increase your sales opportunities in an incredibly short time with even less risk.
