Friendster, Hi5 and other social networking sites are just some of the examples of online communities that attract a very wide range of web users and in another case, businessmen. For them, these social groups could be their way to a successful business. Joining an online community for marketing can be their way of making that happen.

It presents that a company is very sensible and up-do-date thus creating a good image for the company It also creates an aura of customer care with them trying to reach out to those people who are more into computers than television or radio.
