What all of these means translated to your business?

Pure and simple that from the very beginning your clients have to feel comfortable doing business with you. Building trust requires consistent efforts in every channel of communication with them. It is rather clear how you can do that in your face-to-face interactions, but how to do it online where customers can not get a clear picture of your appearance, body language and demeanor?

As well-acquainted web users, we are always looking for signs that will enable us to poor a little bit of that golden commodity called trust before entrusting our Credit Card information.

Those signs can vary according to the visitor’s age, gender, culture but broadly speaking the following factors can be take into account: website look, navigation, content and...what else?

During my wide online-shopping experience i have come across, few times, with a “chat with an operator” button. Reluctant at first, a bit eager later on, i discovered how this simple interaction with a sales person had made me feel alot better, as well as completely changing my perception of those companies. And it was so much easier that way!!!

So, here are couple of tips you may want to polish should you decide Live Chat is the road your company wants to follow:

Show your spirit! What makes us happy is style, beauty, positive attitude and pleasing experience. Emphasize to your online visitors that your company is not stale, but it is fresh, energetic and growing.

Be accessible at any point of clients' decision making - place the chat button on every page they may need assistance;

Show them that you care by reading carefully what they write and personalize your reply

Be sure to use the three elements of trust: consistency, responsiveness and honesty

Be interesting and entertaining where possible

Don't try to look big. Try to serve customers the best way you can!
