New Natural Healthcare Product Ecommerce Site Launched With the Arrival of the Trust William Brand

LONDON 30th September 2008 – Full service, multi-channel eCommerce and eMarketing agency e-inbusiness has been working with William Ransom & Son plc to launch its first eCommerce proposition for its natural health care products through the new brand name Trust William.

 

Launched in mid September, the new site is the first direct transactional consumer site for William Ransom & Son and delivers a new route to market for the UK’s oldest independent healthcare company. Selling its full range of botanical, natural and aromatherapy products, the new online shop serves to meet an increasing consumer want for science backed natural healthcare products.

 

Working together, e-inbusiness was tasked with the design and build of a next generation eCommerce site that combined high levels of functionality along with advanced content management, merchandising and search facilities to meet customer and business needs. The site also needed to define a new brand: Trust William whilst creating an exceptional online shopping experience and first class service for customers.

 

Built on the new eibCommerce platform using Microsoft Commerce Server 2007, the site integrates with key strategic partners: Mercado for dynamic merchandising functionality, EPiServer for advanced content management and Datacash for secure payments. The site utilises advanced search functionality so that customers can shop by need, ingredient, brand and life stage. In addition the “My Cabinet” functionality enables shoppers to easily view their account history and previous purchases.

 

Founded back in 1846 William Ransom & Son plc (Ransom) is the UK’s oldest pharmaceutical company with a trading history of over 160 years. Now with over 200 employees across various sites in the UK and overseas markets such as Italy and Ireland, the business is now a fully integrated healthcare business specialising in the development, manufacture, distribution and marketing of natural healthcare products. Key brands include Health Perception, Optima Health and Nutrition, AloeDent, AloePura, Radian B, and Pavacol-D.
