Clean Camera, Clear Capture

No doubt every family possesses at least one digital camera nowadays! However, possess it is one thing and protect it is another one! To extend the life of the digital camera we should maintain it from time to time and use a proper method. A clean digital camera not only looks better outside, it also work better inside, giving us superior enjoyment.

Keeping the model in tip-top condition we should concentrate our attentions on the two vital parts----lens and LCD. By cleaning the digital camera lens, we’ll ensure wonderful photos. By cleaning the LCD allows us preview each picture in best quality before deciding whether to delete it or not. Moreover, by cleaning the digital camera properly some camera problems can be avoided simply.

Preparation

Before we start cleaning, we need make a list for the things we might need during cleaning our digital camera’s various components. The first and the most important one is a micro fiber cloth for its ability to clean all parts of our digital camera. Then, lens cleaning paper and fluid which could be substitute by some thing else with the same function such as soft, cotton cloth and a few drops of water. At last, a small, soft-bristle brush.

Cleaning the lens

 Take your time while you are cleaning the lens.

1. Turn on the camera and turn the lens faces the ground, gently blow on the lens to free any particles and use the soft brush to make sure that the lens is clear without any particles.

2. Start rubbing the lens with the micro fiber cloth in a circular motion and work your way from the middle to the edges.

3. Place a few drops of cleaning fluid and water on the micro fiber would be better for you to clean the grime.

4. Remember to dry the lens!

Cleaning the LCD

LCD is also an important part of digital camera.

1. While we deal with the LCD, we should turn off the camera rather than turn on it for it would be easier to find dust against the black background of a powered-down LCD.
2. Remove the dust from the LCD with a soft brush and then move the dry micro fiber back and forth horizontally along the screen to clean the LCD.
3. Again, one or two drops of cleaning fluid and water are feasible as well while wiping the surface of the digital camera LCD.

Cleaning the body

Now that lens and LCD is important, let alone the camera body.

Repeated the steps we mentioned above, that is first with the brush to remove the dusk and then clean the body with a micro fiber cloth. Do not forget to dry each part of the digital camera after you use the cleaning fluid or water.

Cleaning tips

1. Never touch the lens with you skin. The fingerprint is not as easy as the dust to be removed.
2. If the economic permits, try to buy all the cleaning tools from the professional stores which will provide us better care for the digital camera.
