Becoming a great country

As far as India is concerned, its people are of the view that India had been a great country because it has got a great past. They are proud of their traditions, culture, religion and their history. But they too are sorry to note that they had been slaves for centuries and with great difficulty they could win back their freedom and they are also proud of the fact that they could establish democracy and then they could continue with that democracy.
We have spent at least six decades in this democracy, but still we are not in a position to say that we could regain the same greatness which we had in the past. We may be proud of the fact that we have opened schools, colleges, training institutions, we have laid down roads, constructed buildings and bridges, we have laid down rail lines, established factories, industries and we have achieved much in the field of agriculture, but still we shall have to feel sorry because we could not give proper education, proper training and proper adjustment to our people and most of the youths are still unemployed and some of them are turning drug addicts, opium eaters, gamblers, drunkards, they are committing crimes, sins and misconducts. A country does not mean roads and bridges, but a country is always made of men and women and if the quality of men and women is not great, we cannot call a country great.
It seems the state could not deploy its mind in raising the quality of people and they know that quality of people could only increase if we give them proper education, proper training and proper adjustment at work from where they could bring proper wages with which they could be able to run the family administration. If these items are not attained, then the country shall always remain a backward country and it would never be able to stand in the row of advanced countries because all shall identify the people standing in the line. All these illiterate, untrained, unadjusted at work, poor, living in mud houses, living in huts, beggars, children collecting valuables from the garbage, ill, diseased, weak, wearing rags, dirty people shall not allow this country to become great. We could not provide urinals and toilets at places and that is the reason every open place is being utilized by the people and India has become an open latrine.
All these corruption, bribes, dalalis, commissions, sale of jobs, sale of licenses, sale of quotas, scams, scandals, muddles shall not give to this country a good look and therefore, when the state is interested in the construction work, it may have a look on these items too and they must see that wholesome advancement is most necessary for joining the line of advanced countries and on the man-force side we are far behind and we must pay attention towards these items so that we could prepare ourselves for joining the line of advanced countries. Men make the country great and not a country can advance with material advancement.
